Polyester

 

  • The polyester Powder Coating (P.E.) with TGIC curing agent of the colour and the gloss specified is to be factory applied by means of electrostatic automatic reciprocating guns onto pre-treated aluminium substrate.
     

  • The dry film thickness of the coating after being oven baked at 200¡ã C for 15 to 20 minutes should not be less than 60 microns and should pass or exceed all tests and requirements of the AAMA 603.5 ¡°Specification for High Performance Organic coatings on Architectural Extrusions and Panels¡±.
     

  • Coated surface should be smooth with coating evenly applied and without striping, drip marks or blisters.

 

Use of powder coating for architecture

  • Powder coating provides a more colourful, even, longer lasting and durable finish. Powder coating is considered a superior form of coating applied in architecture and construction. 
     

  • Powder coating has high durability, scratch resistance, gloss retention, resistance to chalking, and meets AAMA specifications. Powder coating is superior to liquid paint, anodizing, PVDF and Kynar500®.
