Salt spray test

Usage of a neutral salt fog exposure to test corrosion-resistance of coated metal.

A panel is scribed down to the substrate and exposed to Sodium chloride atmosphere for a prescribed amount of hours.

Salt spray test is intended to accelerate corrosion by using severe corrosive environment.

The test will show the suitability of sample to be used under corrosive conditions.

Humidity test

A neutral fog test without usage of salt to test the effectiveness of surface purification.

A panel is exposed to humid conditions where leftover dried soluble salts that was not effectively cleaned off will rehydrate to cause a bubble or a blister on the painted metal.

The test will show the effectiveness of surface purification process to clean off all salts from metal surface.
